Roswell, New Mexico is the subject of the infamous Roswell incident of 1947.
The crashing of that hard knocks “weather balloon”, at Foster Ranch, had the US government close the area down for 71 years. Only since Thursday, July 2nd, 2018 has the Foster Ranch property, which is about 75 miles out from Downtown, been officially open to the public. Nothing secret about that weather balloon.
The Foster Ranch property has been one of the most sought-after locations in New Mexico. In 1947, William Brazel, a rancher, allegedly spotted an unusual object on the ranch he worked for. He claimed to have found a lot of unearthly material.
