A black hole is a region of space in which the gravitational field is so powerful that nothing can escape after having fallen past the event horizon. Lately, a team lead by Yair Kronghold found large amounts of oxygen and carbon escaping a Black hole with the European Space Agency's XMM-Newton, leading many to believe that Black holes may give life to many planets.[1]
